Chloe Name Plate

The brief:

I told a friend I would make name plate that
she could take with her to college and put it
on her wall to remind her of her high school.
I needed to represent our friendship and
reflect our experiences.

The solution:

I started this project by illustrating her name in a graffitii style with
pencil and paper. Then I planned out the shape of the final board
and started drawing in the creatures and shapes. I glued down her
name sheet on top of the creature sketchinges and colored them in.
The overall crazy colors and nature of the illustrations is meant to
reflect the crazy last few months of our activities. In addition I used
her favorite two colors on a few portions.

Going Gorillas Poster

The brief:

Being a school project the requirements
were to make a large format (19”x26”)
poster. We needed to use three distinct
printed layers, which basically means
three colors.

The solution:

I stole the main piece of illustration for this poster from my Fresh
West Tour campaign found in the branding portion of my site. To
meet the project requirements I added color to the helmet and the
bananas in the patterning. I had to plan out how to print such a large
poster because I couldn’t fit all of the content onto just one screen.
I ended up using 4 screens for one layer, one for each corner of the
poster. The colors I chose were meant to be a subtle reference to
the origination of the art used from the FWT campaign.
